The Assault Begins

Last night , while watching The O'Reilly Factor on Fox News, I witnessed the opening shots of the coming assault on conservatism. Make no mistake, when the Congressional Black Caucus says that Tea Party folks wish to see blacks swinging from trees, and wants minorities to be second class citizens, a new code phrase has been born. Tea Party = Conservative. The willing press has always felt that way and now we can add Fox News to that group. Yesterday on Fox News, over and over, polls suggesting that most Americans do not favor the Tea Party movement, were paraded around every news segment, including The O'Reilly Factor. Polls also suggesting that a moderate candidate like Romney would be favored by most GOP voters in the upcoming primaries. Bachmann, Cain, Paul, and even Perry were all said to be too "radical". More code. Conservative = radical. Yes, the stiff spine of the Tea Party republicans in the house, during the debt ceiling fight, launched the "left" AND the establishment "right" into an odd alliance against the Tea Party. This is the true goal of all "progressives". The resistance to returning the government to its Constitutional responsibilities and size is very great, indeed. Conservatism has become an island, surrounded by big waves. Now is the time for putting up or shutting up. If the Tea Party fails here, we will witness the beginning of the end of our Republic, and it will be nobody's fault but our own.
