For The Long Haul

Dealing with the present crisis of high unemployment and a sucky economy is difficult enough. It is when you realize how long this scenario is likely to last that anger and misery sets in. With all the huffing and puffing going on in Washington about who is at fault , the reality is that under the current occupants of power , both in the White House and in Congress, things will only get worse for the foreseeable future. 2012 is a long ways away when you do not have a job. I can attest to that. The only logical short term solution is to drastically cut back on everything, sell off as much as you can, help as many others in the same situation as you can, rely on friends and family as much as possible and settle in for the long haul. Dismantling a spend crazy establishment in DC is no small task, and the jobs market will only improve when the evil in power is removed and replaced with common sense and Constitutional values. Meanwhile, the world of barter and self survival will rule the land.
